All Australian schools have the House system. Looks like they borrowed the House idea from Harry Potter, but you know if it works it works.

During the TikTok debate, some concerning moments touched on anti-Asian hate and xenophobia. It was disheartening to see the event lose its aspirational global spirit. However, I commend the girl from Honduras who bravely stood up for her point of view as a non-American amidst an increasingly aggressive and unwelcoming response from other participants. Many in the audience were reacting, notably when one participant appeared to refuse to hand over the mic to the opposing voice. However, I believe many valuable skills were learned and practiced in this competition. As a proud parent of a participant, I appreciate the experiences that this competition has to offer. However, there are areas to improve, particularly debating. While it was fantastic to see the kids acknowledge and support one another's similar ideas, work must continue to support the ability to handle differing views gracefully and professionally. As a parent attending the event, I have some constructive feedback that I would like to share. If a survey or any other feedback mechanism is available, I would happily contribute my experience to help with future improvements.
